Casper<\/em><\/a>.  The case dates to 2005, when Leslie Weise and Alex Young \u00a0were thrown  out of a George W. Bush event because they arrived in a car bearing a \u201cNo  More Blood for Oil\u201d bumper sticker. The event was not a political  rally, but rather a public speech on Social Security at the Denver space  museum.<\/p>\n<p>Justice  Ginsburg, joined by Justice Sotomayor, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/10pdf\/10-67.pdf\">dissented<\/a> from the denial of  certiorari., but noted that one arguable reason for denial is that the  defendants were volunteers acting on the direction of government  officials. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aclu.org\/free-speech\/supreme-court-will-not-yet-hear-case-denver-residents-ejected-bush-event\">Additional suits<\/a> are pending against the Secret Service  agents involved, and could eventually reach the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last Tuesday, the Supreme Court refused to review the dismissal of Weise v.
