It\u2019s time for outlining and consolidating all the knowledge we have accrued this semester. And during all that feverish writing, there are still dishes to wash and, in my apartment, there are still paper-thin walls and next-door neighbors. Cue up these sonic delights for some legally themed music sure to drown out anyone\u2019s throaty predictions about major league football. You\u2019re welcome.<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Much like a 16-credit courseload, this playlist may not be suitable for children. Prince<\/em>. But the reference to ink \u201cdripping from your pen,\u201d evokes the kind of textualist analysis that is more at home in Administrative Law than in Criminal Law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Property:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Biggie\u00a0\u2013 Gimme The Loot<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a title=\"Gimme The Loot\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZzvL4O3uomg\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZzvL4O3uomg<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0\u201cRolex watches and colorful swatches, I&#8217;m digging in pockets.\u201d Christopher Wallace provides a helpful review of adverse possession.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Criminal Law:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Biggie \u2013 N****s Bleed<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a title=\"N****s bleed\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YePH5YYgQNk\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YePH5YYgQNk<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In under five minutes, this song covers conspiracy, felony murder, and destruction of evidence through the use of gasoline and kerosene. The chorus and title suggest \u00a0contrition on Mr. Wallace\u2019s part, but this is undercut by other verses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Criminal Procedure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Biggie\u00a0\u2013 Hypnotize<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a title=\"Hypnotize\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wk4ftn4PArg\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wk4ftn4PArg<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mr. Wallace should have been more chary about creating a \u201cnote for the plaintiff\u201d; writings can be evidence of <em>mens rea<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2L<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Antitrust:<\/strong> Boss Hogg Outlawz \u2013 Keep it Playa<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a title=\"Keep it Playa\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JcBggWNXkRU\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JcBggWNXkRU<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Through its discussion of substitution and understanding, this rap ditty incorporates basic Contracts principles. Acuff-Rose Music, 510 U.S. 569, 583 (1994) (9-0 decision). 2 Live Crew was sued for copyright infringement of Roy Orbison\u2019s 1964 song, \u201cOh, Pretty Woman.\u201d The Supreme Court ruled in the band\u2019s favor, expanding the fair use doctrine to include commercial parodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Justice Souter analyzed the song\u2019s \u201ccharacteristic opening bass riff,\u201d and so should you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Evidence:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Snoop Doggy Dogg \u2013 Murder Was the Case<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a title=\"Murder Was The Case\" href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Do4fA8tONY4\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Do4fA8tONY4<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">When Snoop was tried for murder, prosecutors introduced this song as evidence. Does Rule 403 apply? Can a rap song be considered a recording of present sense impressions, trumping the hearsay rules regarding temporal attenuation?
