It Could've Spent Less on Shelter&quot; from The Huffington Post\" href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/2014\/02\/07\/housing-homeless-people-costs_n_4733524.html\">A Florida County Spent Over $5 Million on Jailing Homeless People.\u00a0 It Could\u2019ve Spent Less on Shelter\u201d from The Huffington Post<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Results from a study of \u201cfrequent-flyer\u201d arrests\u2014homeless individuals arrested for homeless-related crimes\u2014in Osceola County, Florida reveal that the county would have spent 35% less if it had provided \u201cpermanent supportive housing and ongoing case management\u201d instead.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And on one final note, in remembrance of Pete Seeger please have a look at the transcript from his 1955 testimony in front of the House Un-American
