{"id":4168,"date":"2016-07-05T22:10:47","date_gmt":"2016-07-06T02:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journals.law.harvard.edu\/hblr\/?page_id=4168"},"modified":"2025-08-19T12:33:02","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T16:33:02","slug":"student-writing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/journals.law.harvard.edu\/hblr\/student-writing\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Writing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HBLR welcomes submissions of previously unpublished articles, essays, notes, comments, or other \u201claw review\u201d-type manuscripts relating to business and law.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Submissions Cycle<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">HBLR will review the pieces submitted on a rolling basis.&nbsp; <\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>HBLR may also conduct expedited reviews on a case-by-case basis.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Electronic Submission<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Please note whether you would like to be considered for publication for Print or Columns. &nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Print submissions should be sent to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:submissions@hblr.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">submissions@hblr.org.<\/span><\/a> No hard copies will be accepted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submissions should include a cover letter, copy of the manuscript, author CV and contact information, and any other relevant information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>Format<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The manuscript should be in Microsoft Word format and conform to the most recent edition of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalbluebook.com\/\">The Bluebook<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Print submissions should be approximately 15,000-20,000 words in length.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HBLR welcomes submissions of previously unpublished articles, essays, notes, comments, or other \u201claw review\u201d-type manuscripts relating to business and law.
