{"id":3283,"date":"2026-10-07T00:59:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-07T04:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/journals.law.harvard.edu\/jlg\/?page_id=3283"},"modified":"2026-10-07T01:03:42","modified_gmt":"2026-10-07T05:03:42","slug":"get-involved-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/journals.law.harvard.edu\/jlg\/get-involved-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Get Involved!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are interested in the intersections of law and gender, we hope that you will make the\u00a0<em>Harvard Journal of Law and Gender<\/em>\u00a0a part of your experience at HLS.\u00a0<strong>Please email us at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hlsjlg@gmail.com\">\u00a0<\/a><a href=\"mailto:hlsjlg@mail.law.harvard.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hlsjlg@mail.law.harvard.edu<\/a>\u00a0 to be added to our email listserv<\/strong>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark><strong>&nbsp;How you can be involved<\/strong>:<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-f918426f-a10f-4316-9f20-9ff5a7c4443d\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participate in editing our online and print volumes as a subciter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Join our Editorial Board as a Managing Editor, Article Editor, or Technical Editor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help choose the articles that we publish by serving as a member of the Selections Committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help plan our annual symposium as a member of the Conference Committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit articles and case comments for our Online Journal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark><strong>Applications to join JLG typically occur in two rounds<\/strong><\/mark>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-4e708013-f1fd-4eb7-9415-9ecca87bc1b1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><mark>Once at the end of each Spring semester preceding the commencement of a new volume; and<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark>Once in the Fall semester to fill remaining positions on the Masthead.<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark><strong>What makes editing at JLG unique:<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-55c57714-e87f-4c3d-abac-8f0c88466967\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We welcome all HLS students, including 1Ls and LLMs, to take on substantive editing roles.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We provide opportunities for our journal members to write.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We have training for each aspect of the editing and writing process, so each member is supported in taking on a leadership role.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>JLG has a collaborative editing process, which includes an all-journal editing day (called a \u201csubcite\u201d) and small article team events that allow members of the JLG community to get to know each other.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are interested in the intersections of law and gender, we hope that you will make the\u00a0Harvard Journal of Law and Gender\u00a0a part of your experience at HLS.\u00a0Please email us at\u00a0\u00a0hlsjlg@mail.law.harvard.edu\u00a0 to be added to our email listserv!
