Join JLPP as an Editor<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Membership on the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy<\/em> is open to all interested Harvard Law School students, including 1Ls, transfer students, and LLM candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First-year law students start as Staff Editors, who are responsible for verifying the accuracy of an article\u2019s citations and ensuring that those citations are in the correct legal citation format and comply with the Journal<\/em>\u2019s internal stylebook. Upper masthead Editors supervise and review the work of other editors, perform line editing of an article’s main text, and provide technical edits where necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who are interested in taking more responsibility, the Journal<\/em> conducts an annual merit-based subciting competition for 1Ls who wish to take positions on the Journal<\/em>\u2019s upper masthead. For transfers, the Journal<\/em> will make upper masthead decisions on a case-by-case basis, taking into account prior journal experience (including invitations to join journals at previously attended law schools).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
