Submissions should not exceed 25,000 words (including footnotes). All manuscripts should be submitted in English with both text and footnotes typed and double-spaced. Footnotes must conform with\u00a0<i>The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation<\/i>\u00a0(22nd ed.) and authors should be prepared to supply any cited sources upon request. All manuscripts submitted become the property of the JSEL and will not be returned to the author. In addition to the manuscript, authors must include an abstract of not more than 250 words, as well as a cover letter and resume or CV. Authors also must ensure that their submissions include a direct email address and phone number at which they can be reached throughout the review period.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'EB Garamond';font-weight: normal\">The journal strongly prefers electronic submissions through the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/harvard-journal-sports-ent-law.scholasticahq.com\/\"><span style=\"color: #a41c34\">Scholastica online submission system<\/span><\/a>. Submissions may also be sent via email to&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #a41c34\"><a style=\"color: #a41c34\" href=\"mailto:jselsubmissions@gmail.com\">jselsubmissions@gmail.com<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Online Submissions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/4qvyH3qcmdjCzCxH8\">Online Submission Form<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<em>Harvard Journal of Sports and Entertainment Law (JSEL) Online<\/em>&nbsp;welcomes submissions that explore timely and important issues at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and the law. We publish shorter pieces than those in our print edition, with a focus on accessible, practice-oriented, and innovative scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage submissions from students, academics, and practitioners on topics including (but not limited to)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Sports law and regulation<br>&#8211; Intellectual property in media and entertainment<br>&#8211; Antitrust and labor law in professional sports<br>&#8211; Contractual and transactional issues in entertainment<br>&#8211; Emerging issues in technology, esports, and digital media<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submission Guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Length: Minimum 1,500 words<br>&#8211; Format: Word document or PDF<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis by our Online Editorial Team.
