On Super Bowl XLIX\u2019s media day, the Seattle Seahawks running back repeatedly responded to reporters\u2019 questions with \u201cI\u2019m just here so I don\u2019t get fined.\u201d The phrase went viral. Even Katy Perry, Super Bowl XLIX\u2019s halftime performer, famously repeated it at her press conference prior to the big game. Shortly thereafter, Lynch filed an application to trademark the now iconic remark. Although it could take over a year for the trademark application to be processed, Lynch\u2019s apparel brand, \u201cBeast Mode,\u201d is cashing-in on the popular quip. Fans have already purchased thousands of hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and other merchandise\u00a0sold on\u00a0Lynch\u2019s website that bear\u00a0the statement.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"http:\/\/espn.go.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/12371993\/marshawn-lynch-seattle-seahawks-files-trademark-super-bowl-media-day-quote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">espn.com<\/a>, this is not the first time media-shy Lynch has filed a\u00a0trademark for one of his \u201cunconventional\u201d interview responses. Last year, he\u00a0was awarded the trademark for \u201cI\u2019m just about that action boss\u201d&#8211;the retort Lynch\u00a0gave Deion Sanders after he questioned Lynch about his camera shy nature.
