This article examines the compatibility of the new front-of-package nutritional labelling (FOPNL) regulations in Latin American countries with World Trade Organization (WTO) law. The authors examine the compatibility of FOPNL regulations with relevant WTO Agreements and conclude that such regulations are justified by their significant contribution to public health objectives and comply with WTO obligations.
