
Emily Kohn | Editor-in-Chief
Emily Kohn is a third-year J.D. student from Durham, NC. She holds a B.A. in Linguistics and Political Science from Columbia University. She split her 2L summer between Wiley Rein LLP and the U.S. Embassy in The Hague and has further explored her passion for government service by interning at the Department of Commerce and the Department of Justice. In her free time, Emily enjoys running along the Charles and hosting craft nights. After graduation, she will clerk at the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Eleventh Circuits before pursuing a career in international trade law.

Felipe Lobo Koerich | Editor-in-Chief
Felipe is a third-year J.D. candidate. Originally from Brazil, he has also lived in Amsterdam, Texas, Louisiana, and Washington, D.C. He graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a B.S.F.S. in International Politics and a focus in International Law and Latin America. Before law school, he completed an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Georgetown University and worked in international development. On campus, Felipe has focused on international law and comparative constitutional studies and has been actively involved in Lambda, QTPOC, and La Alianza, among other organisations. He was elected one of the four J.D. Class Marshals. He has worked at the Harvard Cyberlaw and International Human Rights clinics, and will work at the Skadden, Arps London office after graduation, focusing on cross-border M&A and capital market projects.

Eli Cooper | Managing Editor
Eli is a second-year J.D. student from Owensboro, Kentucky. He graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.A. in Political Science with a focus on International Relations and a B.A. in Human Rights. At HLS, Eli spends most of his time involved with organizations and research that focus on human rights law (domestic and international) as well as the strengthening of international law. When he finds time away from school, he’s an avid runner, reader, and participant in intramural sports.

Vaishnav Rajkumar | Managing Editor
Vaishnav is a second-year J.D. student, originally from India and born and raised in the U.A.E. He graduated from King’s College London with a B.A. in European Politics and later received an MPhil in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge. On campus, he is involved with HLS Advocates, PILAC, and the Harvard Human Rights Journal. He has worked internationally in legal and policy fields related to global affairs and armed conflict, as well as in the international financial investment, regulation, and sovereign debt spaces.

Haaris Alvi | Lead Executive Editor for Print
Haaris is a third-year J.D. student from Chicago, Illinois. He holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Northwestern University. At HLS, Haaris is involved in research on international restructuring, the Prison Legal Assistance Project, and the sports law clinic. In his free time, Haaris enjoys playing pick-up basketball, reading non-fiction, and trying new restaurants around Boston. Upon graduation, Haaris will work at Davis Polk & Wardwell in their corporate practice.

Anna Kate Manchester | Lead Executive Editor for Print
Anna Kate Manchester is a third-year J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School (’26). Since starting at HLS, she has studied and worked in the areas of international humanitarian and human rights law. In addition to ILJ, Anna Kate is involved in HLS Advocates for Human Rights and the Women’s Law Association. Anna Kate holds a B.A. in History, Political Science, and International Studies from the University of Alabama, and she spent one year as a Visiting Student at St. Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford, reading in international law and human rights.

Luke Anselmi | Lead Executive Editor for Online
Luke is a third-year J.D. student from Chester, New Jersey. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from Williams College and an MSc in Theory and History of International Relations from the London School of Economics. Prior to law school, Luke worked on commercial projects across the Middle East and spent time conducting research at the King Hussein Foundation in Amman, Jordan.

Isabelle Melton | Lead Executive Editor for Online
Isabelle Melton is a 3L from Helena, Montana. She graduated from the University of Montana in 2022 with a double major in political science and multidisciplinary studies. In addition to being a three-year member of ILJ, Isabelle has served as Co-Program Director of the HLS Advocates for Human Rights and is currently an Admissions Fellow and a member of the Women’s Law Association, the HLS Football Club, and the Scales of Justice. Isabelle also works as a research assistant for Professor Kristen Eichensehr, focusing on issues of national security and foreign relations. After spending her 2L summer at Jones Day, she will be joining them as an associate following graduation.

Riya Jain | Features Editor for Print
Riya is a second-year J.D. student from Nashville, Tennessee. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, with a focus on economic development and Middle East studies. On campus, she has been involved in APALSA and Jessup Moot Court. Last summer, Riya interned at the Southern Africa Litigation Centre in Malawi and South Africa, supporting strategic human rights litigation. Prior to HLS, Riya worked at the US Treasury in International Affairs on multilateral development bank policy.

Becca is a second-year student from Naperville, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Alabama (roll tide!) with a bachelor’s in political science and economics and a Master of Public Administration. At HLS, she is involved in organizations focused on international law and international human rights. Becca spent her 1L summer in London working in the compliance office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

Sophia Kontos | Alumni Chair
Sophia is a third-year J.D. candidate from Houston, Texas. She holds a B.A. in International Relations from The University of Texas at Austin. At HLS, she has been involved with the Human Rights Entrepreneurs Clinic, Women’s Law Association, and Parody. Sophia’s work at HLS focuses on the intersection of human rights x climate change, and cultural heritage law. In her free time, Sophia loves to play pickleball, make new Spotify playlists, and cook New York Times recipes.

Utkir Rivojiddinov | Communication Chair
Utkir is an LL.M. student from Uzbekistan. He earned his LL.B. from Tashkent State University of Law and subsequently worked as a senior consultant at the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, focusing on international economic law and dispute resolution. At HLS, along with Harvard International Law Journal, he is involved with the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project, HLS Negotiators, the Harvard Business Law Review, Harvard APALSA, and the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology. Outside of law, he enjoys drawing and ice skating.

Juan Jorge | Outreach Chair
Juan Jorge is an LL.M. candidate at Harvard Law School and a lawyer admitted in Argentina. He has seven years of combined professional and academic experience in international arbitration and international law. Before joining HLS, he worked as a Senior Associate at Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, where he represented states and private clients in high-stakes investment and commercial arbitrations under ICSID, ICC, and UNCITRAL rules. In 2025, he was recognized by Legal 500 Latin America as a “stand-out” practitioner in arbitration. Alongside practice, Juan has taught International Arbitration and Private International Law at the University of Buenos Aires for several years, earning top scores in public teaching evaluations and the school’s Academic Distinction award. Juan is the author of more than twenty book chapters and articles on international law, arbitration, and legal education.

Nana Kruashvili | Social Chair
Nana Kruashvili is an LL.M. candidate at Harvard Law School concentrating on international arbitration, corporate law, and business & human rights. Before HLS, she was a director of the Democratic Institutions Support Program at the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and served as an Oxford Reporter on International Law and Human Rights for Oxford University Press, with prior internship roles at the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute, the International Organization for Migration, and expert roles at various institutions, including Leiden Law School’s Grotius Centre (“Inherent Powers” project). She holds an LL.B. and LL.M. in Public International Law from Tbilisi State University and an Advanced Master’s in Transitional Justice, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy, and she has participated in international law moot courts as a competitor, coach, and judge. At HLS, she is also LL.M. co-President at Human Rights and Business Association, Research Assistant at PILAC and is doing pro-bono work with HLEP and HLS Advocates for Human Rights.

Marcos Díaz Tarragó | Symposium Chair
Marcos Díaz Tarragó is a Spanish LL.M. candidate at Harvard Law School (2026) and a Ph.D. candidate in Law at UNED (Madrid). He graduated with excellence from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and holds a Diploma in Legal Studies with distinction from the University of Oxford. He later earned a Double Master’s Degree from ESADE and NOVA School of Law in Lisbon. Marcos has advised on high-stakes investment and commercial arbitration matters at leading law firms in Madrid, Bogotá, and Lisbon, involving sectors such as construction, post-M&A, oil and gas, and transport. His experience covers disputes across Europe, Latin America, and North Africa. He has published extensively on arbitration and ADR and has been actively involved in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, serving as an oralist, national administrator, and judge. Marcos is fluent in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, and Catalan.

Digvijay Rewatkar | Symposium Chair
Digvijay Rewatkar is an international lawyer with eight years of professional experience spanning government, international organizations, and academia. He has worked extensively on Climate Change, National Security Law, and the Law of the Sea. His work with the UN International Law Commission included contributions on State Succession, State Responsibility, and Due Diligence. His current research focuses on Deep Seabed Mining Law and its intersections with property law, trade law, and investment law. When not immersed in international law, a rare occurrence, he can be found following Formula 1, fascinated by the engineering of the sport, even if his technical knowledge is still firmly in the pit lane.

Ronan McGurrin | LL.M. Representative
Ronan serves as a diplomat in Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (foreign ministry), working to promote and serve Ireland and Irish citizens abroad. His previous roles include work in international arms control and as Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria. He is currently undertaking a Fulbright scholarship at Harvard Law School in the LL.M. (Master of Laws) program, focusing on diplomacy, international law, and international security. He is a barrister-at-law (non-practising) in Ireland.

Nariman Salem Hame | LL.M. Representative
Nariman is an LL.M. candidate from Norway, specializing in public international law and human rights. She graduated from the University of Oslo in 2024 with a Master of Laws degree. Before coming to HLS, she worked at the Norwegian Parliamentary Ombud in Oslo. During her studies, Nariman interned at some of Norway’s leading law firms and at the Norwegian Embassy in Amman, where she focused on human rights issues in Iraq and Jordan. She also served as a Research Assistant at the Department of Public and International Law at the University of Oslo. Additionally, she represented the University of Oslo and Norway in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition at the International Rounds in Washington, D.C. At HLS, Nariman is a Student Attorney at the International Human Rights Clinic. After HLS, Nariman hopes to continue working with international law.

Angela Caloia | 1L Representative
Angela is a first-year J.D. student. She graduated from Harvard College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in English. Before starting at HLS, she played soccer professionally in Italy and Iceland and worked for two years at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. In her free time, Angela enjoys running along the Charles, reading any novel recommended to her, and searching for the best Boston pizza spots.

Dylan Tynes | 1L Representative
Dylan is a first-year J.D. student from Shreveport, Louisiana. He graduated from Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Economics and History and also holds an M.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. At HLS, he is interested in exploring issues in international trade law and economic development. In his free time, Dylan can be found climbing mountains or watching college football.

Catherine Conrow | Executive Editor for Print
Catherine is a third-year student in the joint J.D.-MPP program at Harvard Law and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She is from Marin County, California and graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in History and Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. Before law school, Catherine worked at the U.S. Department of Justice and the Brookings Institution, where she focused on anti-corruption and rule-of-law issues. On campus, she has also been involved with the Harvard National Security Law Journal. In her free time, Catherine can usually be found on long walks with her golden retriever, Finley, around Cambridge or in the kitchen baking pastries for friends.

Eugene is a second-year J.D. student from Washington, DC and Hong Kong. He graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in Economics and International Affairs and a Minor in History. He is interested in sovereign finance, debt restructuring, and economic development. This past summer, he worked for Milbank in New York and the Legal Department of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, DC. Next summer, he will return to Milbank in London and also work for Cleary Gottlieb across London and New York. Outside of law school, Eugene enjoys playing pickleball, reading about economic history, and trying new restaurants and cafes.

Samuel Shannon | Executive Editor for Print
Sam is a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School and a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo, where he is writing his PhD dissertation on the judicial enforcement of European Union law in the Union’s Member States. His research interests include EU and U.S. constitutional law, remedies, and the rule of law. He holds his law degree (magister) from the University of Warsaw and has worked in private practice as well as for NGOs in Poland. In his free time, Sam enjoys listening to The Beatles and Nirvana, playing tennis, and rewatching the John Adams miniseries.

Marianna Aslund | Executive Editor for Online
Marianna is a third-year J.D. student from Washington, DC. She holds a B.S. in International Political Economy from Georgetown University. Before law school, Marianna worked on trade and sustainability issues at an EU political affairs consultancy in Brussels, Belgium. During her time at HLS, Marianna has worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, taken part in Harvard’s International Human Rights Clinic, and conducted independent research on international trade integration in Cape Town, South Africa. Upon graduation, Marianna will join Sidley Austin in Washington, DC, working with their Global Arbitration, Trade and Advocacy group, where she spent her 2L summer.

Clara is a third-year J.D. student from Palo Alto, California. She graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with a BA in government and an MA in conflict resolution with a certificate in mediation. Among other positions, she has worked in Geneva as a legal assistant at the United Nations International Law Commission, in Cyprus as a Fulbright research fellow, and in Washington, D.C. as the Hillary Rodham Clinton Fellow at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace & Security. In her free time, Clara enjoys spending time outdoors and curating Spotify playlists.

Mark is a second-year J.D. student from Queens, New York. On campus, he has been involved in the Harvard Law and Entrepreneurship Project, the Harvard Association of Law and Business, and the Access to Justice Lab. During his time at HLS, he has worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, SDNY, and Harvard’s Cyberlaw Clinic. In his free time, Mark enjoys creative writing, running, and photography.

Saak Saakian | Executive Editor for Online
Saak is an LL.M. student at Harvard Law School, focusing on international arbitration, international trade, and transnational dispute resolution. He previously earned an M.A. in International Relations at Syracuse University as a Fulbright Scholar, concentrating on international law, business transactions, and European affairs, and received his LL.B. with a minor in economics from the Higher School of Economics in Russia. Saak has gained experience in both private practice and investigative work in prior roles at RuCourts and the Mintz Group. At HLS, Saak is also involved with the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project and the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association. Upon graduation, Saak intends to pursue a career in international arbitration and cross-border disputes.

Georgia is a third-year J.D. student from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Global Health and a B.S. in Social Policy. She graduated from Northwestern University with majors in environmental sciences and international studies and a minor in creative writing. When not buried in work, Shannon enjoys SCUBA diving, playing musical instruments and cards, reading, and trying to bake.

Alex Reice is a third-year J.D. student from Connecticut. She graduated from Brown with a B.A. in International Relations. Alex spent her 1L summer working in London at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and her next summer at Debevoise & Plimpton, to which she will be returning after graduation. On campus, Alex is involved in the Cyberlaw Clinic and the Equal Democracy Project. She loves to run and be outside.

Sadie is a third-year J.D. student from Boston. She holds a B.A. in Sociology and Global Development Studies from Emory University and an M.A. in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, where she studied as a Schwarzman Scholar. Before law school, she worked at Human Rights Watch as a Washington Advocacy Associate. During her time at HLS, Sadie has worked for the DOJ’s Human Rights and Special Prosecutions Section and competed in the Ames Moot Court Competition.
